Freeway driving

Joining the freeway
Observe the speed of other vehicles already on the freeway and adjust your speed. (During the peek hours the vehicles on the freeway may going slower).
You must give way to the vehicles already on the freeway.
Use the entry to lane to fullest extent.
Indicate and head check before joining.
Take special  care and join smoothly.
Check the internal mirror and increase the speed.

While driving on freeway 
Frequent internal mirror checking is more important.
Follow the speed-sign.
Looking well ahead of you.
Always keep safe distance(4 seconds) from the vehicle in front of you.Double this distance in  rainy days.
Watch for the break lights of the vehicle in front of you.
Do not take your eyes from the road and hold the steering wheel with both hands.
Before lane change check other vehicles around you. If they are indicating to change lane,wait until they finish.
Do not slow down while changing lane.
Mirror check, indicate and head check before lane change.
Take extra care around trucks and large vehicles.
Ready to react unexpected actions of other drivers.
Slow down at roadwork area.
Keep left unless overtaking.
Watch for motorcyclist.
Help out the vehicles merging into the freeway.
Observe lane discipline.
Take a break, if you are tired.
Do not read map while driving.
Do not lane change, unless necessary.
Read all the warning signs and observe.
If you miss the exit,do not panic or brake. Take the next exit.

When exiting the freeway
Indicate early before taking the exit lane.
Slow down gradually to the exit speed after entering the exit lane.
